Don’t Let it Smother Your Inner Beauty

When you stare at yourself in the mirror each morning what do you see? Do you see a kind person who treats others with respect? Do you see someone who goes out of their way to say and do nice things? Is the person staring back at you giving you a friendly smile? Does she look confident and as if she has all the answers? That’s what you should see when you look in the mirror, but if you are like many teens or even a few adults the only thing you see when you look in the mirror is a pimple on your forehead and a growing number of blackheads on your nose and chin.

It’s a reality that many who suffer from acne deal with. The person may feel great inside but when they see how they look to the outside world it can really knock your self-esteem.

Looking in the mirror can be hard when you don’t like what you see staring back. You might be a wonderful person on the inside but if all you can see are the blemishes life isn’t exactly perfect. Many acne sufferers have low self esteem and are afraid people will think less of them because they have a few imperfections on their face. They think those girls with the perfect complexion have all the answers but that’s not true. Teens with acne are worried boys won’t like them and that their friends will spend the day staring at their pimples rather than listening to what they have to say.

Teens and adults with acne will try every product available to try and reduce their acne even just a little bit. A total cure is what you want but you’d take an improvement any day of the week. They probably have a closet full of products that they tried but that just didn’t do the trick. Of course the best way to treat acne is to find a skin care regimen that works for your skin type. Beyond that feeling confident about yourself, looking for the good in things, and putting a bright smile on your face will do a lot to boost your confidence. If you look confident, smile, and treat others with respect they are more likely to remember you as a wonderful friend than the girl with the acne problem.

Often beauty is not about how your face looks but what’s inside. It might take you a while to get out of that funk and start looking at yourself with respect but in the end the hard work will pay off. You deserve to have a great life so don’t let acne get in the way. You need to show the world you’re as beautiful outside as you are inside.

Mental Health Disorders

There a multitude of mental health disorders and many people that are affected by them today. They can range from relatively small disorders that do not really affect a person’s life to much, to full scale disorders that can make it almost impossible for the individual to function in society. Like actually having a job or being able to maintain personal relationships. Whether the individual suffers from a mild mental health disorder or the larger ones it is imperative that they seek and get professional help.

If you are unfortunate enough to have a member of your family, or friend, or other loved one that suffers from mental illness then you probably already know how drastically it can affect your life as well as that of the sufferer. Too many families try to cope on their, perhaps worried by the stigma but this can be a drastic mistake. It is absolutely imperative that you contact a mental health practitioner.

More often than not trying to cope on your own can just make the situation and the person in question worse. There is an unavoidable stigma attached to mental illness but this has become less and less over the years as it becomes more commonplace. Mental illness is exactly what the term states an illness and should be treated just like any other illness with doctor consultation and medicine.

Take one of the most common mental health disorders, depression. If left untreated mental health disorders can spiral out of control, sometimes leading to self harm or even harm of others. With medication most cases of depression can be treated fairly easily. I mean if you or one of your family members suffered from say diabetes you would get it treated right? Well mental illness should be no different. It is commonplace even in this day and age for people to suffer needlessly just because they feel they do not need to visit a doctor and that they can bring themselves out of it.

Juice Recipe That Sky-Rockets Health Naturally

For our body to function efficiently and at its optimum level, it’s important that we digest a variety of vitamins and nutrients. Fruit and vegetables are the best way to acquire these nutrients, but sometimes eating these food types alone can be bland and boring. Creating a juice out of these foods however is a fun and interesting way to absorb all of the required vitamins and nutrients our body needs and also to sky-rocketing our health naturally.

Here’s my favourite juice recipe that works wonders for the inner workings of my body.

It’s up to you how you would like to extract the juice from these fruits. I do it by hand, but it takes a considerable amount of time and effort. Perhaps purchasing a juicer would be a good investment if you make this juice a regular addition to your diet.

2 Fresh Grapefruit

To put it bluntly, grapefruits are absolutely stuffed with Vitamin C which helps to protect the immune system. It also contains the antioxidant, lycopene, which has the highest capacity to help fight oxygen free radicals, which are compounds that can damage cells. On top of this, grapefruit contains pectin which has been proven in animal studies to slow down the progression of atherosclerosis and contribute to the lowering of cholesterol.

2 Fresh Oranges

Of course, oranges provide an invaluable source of Vitamin C (in fact just one orange supplies over 110% of your daily value for Vitamin C), but they also have many other health benefits. Oranges also protect against cardiovascular disease, contain liminoids which fight cancer, lower cholesterol, act as a good source of fibre, protect against kidney stones, rheumatoid arthritis and respiratory health. Consider the sweet and heavenly taste of oranges and it makes an excellent addition to your juice recipe.

Half a Lime

While lime alone can taste very sour, mixed with other juices and it can add that kick that you need to your new juice drink. Limes contain flavonoid compounds that have antioxidant and anti-cancer properties, as well as a high concentration of vitamin C that helps to protect the immune system and reduce cholesterol by preventing the build up of free radicals that block the arteries.

1. Perricone Diet For Skin

The Perricone 30 day and 28 day diets focus on the prevention of wrinkles and the reversal of those already present. It is not concerned with weight loss like so many other diets. There are certain foods that cause inflammation in the body and these same foods can cause us to age prematurely. The Perricone diet is a 28 day program that’s gold is to reduce the number of foods you eat that are heavy in refined sugars, saturated fats, and high glycemic carbs.

2. Wrinkle Anti Aging Cream

Wrinkle creams are a powerful tool in your fight against wrinkles. You should not have to wait months and months for results from your wrinkle cream. Rather you should see results from your anti aging or anti wrinkle cream right away and then you should also continue to see improvements that build over time. You should stay away from products where you have to wait 30 days for results and you should look for wrinkle anti aging creams that offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee which can give you peace of mind. If it doesn’t work, simply return it for a full refund.

There are different types of anti aging cream products, some feed your skin collagen, others simply provide moisture, and some contain Matrixyl or Renovage. Many are packed with antioxidants. Do your research and decide what’s right for you.

There has been plenty of research done on high glucose levels and what they do to you. A diet high in glucose will cause wrinkles and for you to overall age too quickly. It’s also thought to be responsible for several diseases. If you want to look younger and healthier try the low GI diet and enjoy fewer fine lines and wrinkles.

4. Hairstyle

Your hairstyle might not remove wrinkles but a good hairstyle can take years off your age. No one will notice a few little wrinkles when your new hairdo is all the talk of your friends. Not only can your hairstyle make you look younger, so can the color of your hair. Don’t be afraid to experiment with hair dye. Better yet, visit a professional stylist and he/she will have you looking great.

Makeup and cosmetics is a women’s best friend. The right foundation smoothes out our complexion, and dark circles can easily disappear with the right product.
